my network connection has been timing out for nearly two weeks now, customer support are saying it is most likely my router but i have it set up with all the right ports open and it ha s been working fine up till now,  i am in the uk , is anyone else having this problem now? how to solve it?

what was the problem with your router? i am sure mine is set up right it is a netgear dg834 and i have all the correct ports open and the dmz set up. everything has been  working fine up till now but now the

network connection always times out. i dont know what else i can do?

everything was working fine for me until about a couple of days ago. i checked my internet connection settings and whereas my ip address had been in the range of my router, for some reason it was now so far out of range it was laughable. i'm talking about 192.2XX.X.X whereas i was in the range of 192.1XX.X.X. after manually changing all settings (ip address, manual, rather than automatic, subnet mask, dns server) everything works hunky dory.

hope this helps, if not then try googling ps3 internet connection settings... it worked for me. like i said, before a couple of days ago i had no problems, but somehow my ip address had been flobbled and it wouldn't sign on to psn. now, problem sorted.

thanks for that , but i am pretty sure all my settings are correct, netgear tech support set up the router for me . the ps3 browser works fine and games are updating themselves ok. my laptop ,wii and xbox are all

ok online. i am on aol in the london area is anyone else having this problem?

Hey I am not able to sign into playstion network, neither am I able to browse the web. It kicked me off line yesterday and gives me error 8071053D and i have tried everything to fix the issue called sony twice and they are unable to do anything I ran through all the diff senarios. shut down and unplugged same with modem  etc.. I am able to to obtain IP address just not get into playstion network. Is there anything else I can do to resolve the issue. someone pls help me out going through mw2 with drawls lol.

Im having same problem as yo. im on netgear and aol, however im not from london (Worcester) when i run my connection test,  it obtains the ip adress and internet connection but it times out on the Playstation Network so i really dont know whats happening. Mine started to play up on Thursday 25th February 2010
