Unable to sign in?

[ Edited ]

Hey guys, hope I've posted this in the right bit lol, also sorry if this has already been covered, couldn't find it though.

Went to go on the PS3, but it wouldn't sign me in, not like the usual unable to sign in, it would say it straight away, I wasn't signed in, but when I clicked sign in, it'd say "You have been signed out of the Playstation Network", been doing it for about 20 minutes. It's not just mine, it's happening to a mate as well.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

EDIT: Just saw that the servers are undergoing maintenance, this is more than likely it lol, sorry guys!

Re: Unable to sign in?

PlayStation Network is offline for scheduled maintenance from 16:05 on Wednesday 9 March 2011 until 03:00 on Thursday 10 March 2011, GMT.

During the maintenance, you will be unable to access the following services:

PlayStation Store on PS3 and PSP.
PlayStation Network Account Management.
PlayStation Network Account Registration.
In addition, you will not be able to sign in to PlayStation Network from eu.playstation.com. If you wish to play online during the maintenance, please ensure you sign in to PSN before 16:05 on Wednesday 9 March 2011.

During this maintenance, you can continue to collect in-game trophies and these will be updated on your profile once PlayStation Network is back up and running.

If you have any questions about this down time, just post them here and we'll do our best to answer them.

Re: Unable to sign in?

Maybe they already signed in before 4:05pm Usually (Not Often) you can still sign back in a few seconds later if you signed out after the Maintenance started.

Re: Unable to sign in?

You might not have installed the latest version that was released a month ago or so, because mine doesn't show any new FW update.

So after you install the Firmware update you still won't be able to sign in unfortunately.

Re: Unable to sign in?

Indeed it was dude. But there is going to be a FW Update tomorrow for us. Version 3.60 "After downloading PS3 System Software Update 3.60, Plus members will have access to 150MB of space and will be able to store up to 1000 PS3 game saves."

I thin it's just for that and maybe some security stuff in the background of the update
