Saying that mine was on my doorstep at the exact day/time  of launch, won from competition, didnt even know it was coming....best day ever

So those of us who did get it straight away shows how long we have been participating, whether it be by forums/ playing games etc, and I just think that should count for something. Not necessarily just the quality/ amount of posts etc

I agree with Alias on what was said.

I think that a beta tester should

• Be an active member of ps.com
• Make good discussion and try to keep order around the forum
• Have been a member here for at least a year
• Have not been banned for any period of time
• Ofcourse be 18 and not telling porkie pies

I think the most important point though should be that the person is an active and good member of ps.com.

If a beta tester is needed to report back to Sony about problems - then they should be a good member around here so Sony can see they can trust them.

I suppose the best way of doing it is through "pick the names out of a hat" routine. That way you have wider spectrum of people on the beta and your not singling out or giving someone the "special" treatment.

You say they should be here at least 1 year, the problem with that is people like me who have been here for nearly 2 years but i have made new accounts etc. I would love to test and i know i would give good feedback and keep the secrets etc but it's unlikely so if it does happen then great but if not i won't cry about it. They will also never base it on length of service or anything because it wouldn't be very fair on the newcomers.

• Previously done ALPHA/BETA testing (Like me for example for microsoft: Windows Longhorn (Prior to going public), XP (Prior to going public), Windows Home Server (Prior to going public) Windows live messenger 8.0(Prior to going public), Windows live messenger 8.5(Prior to going public), Windows live messenger 9.0(Currently not public) etc.
• Owned a PS2 ORIGNAL over a year
• Owned a PS1 ORIGNAL over a year
• Owned a PSP ORIGNAL over a year
• Acually uses the PS3.
• Been loyal to sony since the day they brought ps1 to the market
• Has skill with computers and games
