i keep getting this message '"An error has occured. you've been signed out from the ps network" - (connection dropped?) 80710092 - '

i dont understand the connection dropped? part, what does this mean? how do i fix it

i have also done the connection test and obtain ip address succeeded but the internet connection one failed, this is clearly not true as i am on my laptop using the internet

Im getting the exact same message, called technical support who advised(after being on hold for 5mins) to contact ISP and get them to forward ports needed to use PSN.  I said to the guy that ive been using PSN for almost 1year and a half no problems, he didnt have a clue to be honest

Same here mate, was on fifa 09 before playing online after the match everything frozed in which i had to turn of my playstation and since then i can't log back into the playstation network which is really annoying me coz i can't go onto LBP beta or play online! even take a look at the store!

everytime i try i get the error has occurred. you have been signed out of playstation Network (80710092)

Go into the network settings on your playstation

go down to media server connection and turn it to disabled

Just did this and it worked!

PSN overload? wats goin on sony, i was able to sign in at 3! its been 2 hours!! im just glad im not the only one with this problem
