Why couldn't they make the game free to download, and then pay monthly. I feel negative about paying around £40 for the game and also having to pay £10 a month after that.

I really enjoyed the BETA and was willing to buy it in a heartbeat, but as soon as they announced the £10 per month subscription, I decided against it, I may still pick it up on the PC, as they have the lifetime subscription option (£200 I believe), but they don't offer that on the PS3, as your PSN wallet can't hold more than £50 at a time, so I'm afraid it's another lost sale from me as well, I don't see many people willing to fork out £120 a year (+£40 for the game) on a game I see possibly going free to play within a few years.

When the game was announced, I was like "Meh. Not gonna get it.".

Then I got access to the beta through Playstation Plus, and I was like "Whoo! This is cool! So gonna get this!".

And finally I found out what it's going to cost, and I was like "Heck no!".

I might change my mind some day, but I doubt it. If they radically lower the price, I'd say the chances are good that I'll get it.

definitely  not getting it if the game was free still would not get it 

i wanted the game was and to be honest still am but for lets say £160 for first year then £120 next year and so on that makes it a very expensive game and that's not including the cost of my internet each month

is sony going the way XBOX is doing letting us buying games at £40 then charging us to play it (I heard that rumour last year but so far so good not went that way till this game)

the day I have to pay extra to play a game online is the day I stop playing games online

Was so excited about this game, did get the beta but never had the chance to play it TOOK TO MUCH MEMORY ON MY SYSTEM!!!! but when they said £40 a month i did the same thing i did with FF XIII, through my controller, greedy.

I was going to pick it up, but I'm not paying £10 per month  for a £40 game. They need too reduce it. How come other games can give us free online play such as COD and BF etc. Why do they have to charge a subscription fee?

I played the beta and would have payed the sub if the game was better made, I found to many problems and couldn't see a long term interest in it. 

MMO's like this are completely different to things like BC and COD which is why they charge a subscription.  With games like BC and COD they have their online client running on a server and thats it, someone looks after the servers but not to the same extent as that of an MMO's.  They will have a whole team constantly maintaining the client, provide ingame technical support, and make regular changes and updates.  Generally MMO's are evolving games which is why they charger a montly fee.  Normallly if you play an MMO, you don't really play much else.

Think of it like this, if the MMO you playing is really good you'd play it all the time and not much else. Now add up all the games you would normally buy over the year and you'll most likely find that this will be alot more than the sum of a years sub

who on earth would anyone be fool enough to purchase a game at full price lol then pay a monthly fee to play it, its beyond me, especially on playstation, most playstation users stick with and choose playstation for its free online gaming,this game will be a huge flop it will need the high fees just to keep the game going for the few that pay it, you would think at those prices they would give away the game for free but i still wouldnt pay the fees,GREED!

you can buy wow game for the same price as there monthly subscription. plus you get the first month free too. DC going in at close to full ps3RRP its laughable. cant see this game lasting long tbh. sony should get some of the free to play action. befor MS do with the 360. why did sony give us older players a kids super hero mmo? my biggest wish for a mmo would be command & conquer. you could say red dead redemption online is a mmo thats free!!!!...
