this would be great for the new update!!!!!

if we could redirect our email's to the XMB a new box for our emails from gmail, hotmail e.g. now i think must people would like that. what do you think???

plus notification on reply's to threads we have made or comment on with the option to receive them or not from that thread so we dont get bombard with notifications on the ones we have commented on

Wait, do you mean all emails, or just the ones Sony sends?

To be honest, having all emails forwarded to the XMB's inbox, would require some possible action from the email provider, to forward back to the XMB.

But at the same time.. why would you want all emails sitting on there xmb where anyone can read them?

But if it's only the ones from Sony, it'll be very possible and easy.

just a private inbox in messages or is that not possible as u said anyone can read them? im not technology wise on the email front. if they get redirect can someone at sony b able to view them?

just thought the only emails that would work would be the ones with pop3's, hotmail i guess dont have pop3

I don't mean sony read them.

Sign out of your PSN account, and go to messages on your XMB, you can still read them. Would probably be the same with emails.

Now, as for how it would work, in one way, any (normal) emails going to your inbox, would be fine, they'd get there as usual, but I'm pretty sure you would need to then have them forward to one of sony's servers, which would then do it's work and put it in your XMB inbox (?).

Hotmail has pop3 now btw.
