you cannot sign in using another user's sign-in id (e-mail address)

Please help !!! I selected to reset my PS3 to factory defaults under the settings menu and then under the system settings menu I selected "Restore default Settings". The reason why I did this was because the PS3 would not display full HD mode like always. By doing this it solved the HD display issue.
Obviously I had to quickly set up my PS3 settings again, but now when I try and log in to PS network to play BF3, I get the message "you cannot sign in using another user's sign-in id (e-mail address)"
Please help!! When I created a new user on the PS3, signed up with existing account, all my BF3 game progress is gone !! SO I need to log into my usual "PS account" account on the PS3 and them log in with my normal user and password for Playstation, but it seems it is now picking up a duplicate account or system.
Please please !! It looks like when I put the default setting on, it now sees my login attempt to be from a different PS3 console ?

Please use plain text.
