Adding Funds Problem

"The credit card information cannot be updated.
Check your PLAYSTATION®Network account information, and then contact technical support for assistance."

I can't add funds to my wallet, everytime I try this has come up. I've also tried adding funds from my PS3 and from the website (store.playstation.com).

Has someone got any help?

I'm having exactly the same issues, it seems there is a growing error list of us folk who can't update the information.

Are you using a credit or debit card?

My debit card hits this same brick wall every time, and no one at tech support seems to know what to do, I've asked under my thread " updating debit card"but no replies sadly.

He's trying to see how many people are effected, and sort out a solution, Andy is one of the head guys at Sony HQ London.

Post back on how you get on.

Re: Adding Funds Problem

Hi All,

We've had to amend this thread to remove an e-mail address.  We are aware of the issue you are reporting, and can advise that it only appears to affect a very small number of users.  We are currently working on a solution and hope to have this in place shortly.

Thank you for your patience.

NF

However, I've now requested him to cancel my Sony playstation membership, and to see if my wallet on Playstation Store can be refunded.

I'm returning to Xbox elite 360 full time now, my reasons, simple, I can't be bothered to mess up my equipment/services whenever Sony decide to do a firmware update that causes more trouble than it supposedly cures.

Plus, more complete versions of games that I love to play, I'm speaking of oblivion on PS3 and the forthcoming Fallout 3, both of which will never have the extra download content from Bethesda that these titles will enjoy on the 360.

I've never caused controversy on these forums, always trying to offer assistance wherever I could (check my previous posts if you need proof), but sadly, enough is enough for me, I simply want to enjoy gaming, and it just seems there will always be issues with the PS3 (yes, I know there are problems from time to time with Microsoft, but never to this ongoing extent).

I won't be turning to the darkside and getting a dirt box on account of this minor inconvenience, however, I would like the ability to buy stuff from the PS Store again though. Is there an ETA for this fix, as my hard earned will just get spent on beer instead..............

Ta muchly.

Re: Adding Funds Problem

Forget what I said above, seems like getting divorced and moving house in same week got to me.

From what I'm told, more and more folk are now able to add funds OK now, and I'm returning to the PS3 family next month with a new PS3

Sorry about any confusion caused.

Re: Adding Funds Problem

I can't understand how this can be considered 'solved'?

I'm having the same problem. Not only that but when I did add funds to my wallet via the web address - any other attempted have failed - why does this keep happening?

Do Sony not realize it's losing business by not fixing this? I mean even dispite the fact that the prices are somewhat extortionate at times - which is probably third party's negotiations - people still wish to purchase from the store.
