I bought a PS3 the other day and everything has been working fine up until now.

I was in the store downloading demos then I got booted out with the error 80710092 which seems to be to do with my network connection. The strange thing is I can still download all the demos i currently had in the queue and can use the browser but cant login to the playstation network.

I followed some instructions I found online about turning router off etc but had no joy.

Any ideas?

I've had the same thing since 6pm. Browser fine and other internet stuff on the laptop working OK. Done everything from the suggested actions page apart from contact technical support, as this place seems like a maze and I have no idea how to.

Annoying really. Was going to burn some cash on some PSN games this evening. WIll just watch the football instead I guess and save my pennies.

Try again later and see if the issue is still present. The network may have been encountering issues at the time you tried to connect.
Try power cycling all your devices too. (Turn everything off with internet access. Wait about 3 minutes, then restart the router, wait till it's done, then power up the PS3 and try again.)

If you're still having problems, try setting up the internet connection again using the PS3, and finally, you could check and see if another ID on the same console is able to login.

It's down. Multiple people with sign in issues. Just playing the waiting game now :/

It does seem to be a bit temperamental, however people are online. It may be an ISP issue

Yep, I have been able to get back in now. Hopefully it stays up.

playstation network not working i sign in and then it ses the error code so i turned it off a couple of times then back on it then logged me in so i put on my game(mw3) then it signed me out whilst playing it What do i do!

Still not working for me.

I've tried disconnecting everything as described but no joy. I'll work my through your other suggestions and see what happens.

Hi guys,

Some users have reported issues signing in with this error code (80710092), we are currently looking into this and will update when more info is available.

It may be worth trying to sign in a bit later to check.
