I updated my ps3 80gb to the latest (i think 3.21) and since then i cant sign in... My connection is perfect and have never had this problem before. Is there any solutions out there?

Have you reset your modem and then your PlayStation??

What error codes are you getting when you sign in??

yeah i have reset my modem numerous times and have checked my ip settings etc. ive tried fiddling around with settings but nothing works. i know its my home network thats causing the problem. cus i took it to my friends house and my ps3 signed in straight away. 

im a bit lost with what to do. is there certain things i should have turned on and off with my dsl?

All its says when i sign in is the playstation network has timed out after about 30 seconds.

it seems i cant connect to servers like online poker also...

What is the brand of your modem/router?

Who is your ISP?

Are you using a wired ethernet connection or wireless network?

What are the results of an Internet Connection Test (under Network Settings in the Settings menu)?

yeah sorry for the delay. i didnt recieve a notification and forgot about this forum. thankyou for ur concern so far. 

Well the brand of my modem/router is Dynalink. 

Im not sure who my ISP is. Is there a way to find out??  

When i ran command prompt with IPCONFIG i realised that under media state is said media disconnected. maybe this could be the reason why i cannot connect to psn and online poker etc??

Im using wireless. ive tried wired but same problem occurs. wireless works fine with my computers and ipod etc.

The results of test are:   I.P address: Succeeded 

                                 Internet connection: Succeeded 

     Playstation Network: Failed.

And thats it. It just says it keeps timing out.

ISP = internet service provider. You don't know who that is?

what model is your dynalink router?

I guess telecom is the isp?

manual for you router is available here

go to the web configuration of your router (http://192.168.1.1 username = admin password =admin unless you've changed it)

go to Configuration

click on UPNP

check the Enable UPnP Function box
Click Apply

Save configuration

restart your router

restart your ps3

My UPnP function box was already checked. 

I reset my router and ps3 anyway but no effect. 

Any other settings I should have with this router?

i think this could be part of the problem? 

My IGMP proxy was disabled. Would that affect it??
