This just happen to me with the Ridge Racer 7 3D license version. Downloaded it twice still stops installing at 14%. I also notice something odd, when the game is downloading, all my downloadable games don't show up, they just keep trying to load. This is very bizarre issue since I've been a ps3 owner since day 1 and have never seen anything like this but it is also my first time ever downloading a full ps3 game.

Hi Ryu-Sama-
If you are receiving an error at 14% of installation, this means that the downloaded file is corrupted (as it checks data integrity at around 14%)
You would need to delete the install file, and download it again.
Before downloading again, you would need to ensure you are not downloading the same corrupted version (your ISP will generally store downloaded items automatically in cache / memory on their server so there is less network use / reduced traffic if it needs to be downloaded again).
So perhaps try another Internet connection, if available. Also, make sure you have a decent connection.
Try using Ethernet (wired) as opposed to Wireless, and use a supported Internet type - ADSL or cable.
Steer clear of 3G / 4G if you seem to be having trouble as the data integrity is somewhat reduced, due to the nature of that type of technology.

@stupidbunnysuit
It is a bit silly that PS3 doesn't check for packet integrity while downloading the data from PSN - Sony should've fixed it in the next upcoming firmware, as it is very annoying for the system to not check the received package integrity while downloading (and redownloading broken packets until success) that to download a fair amount of data and only check at install.
This would not only solve the problem with wasting time (redownloading versus longer proper download with integrity check on the fly) but also help many of your customers that are capped monthly (and we know the filesizes of full games can be quite vast).
This is XXI century and Sony still works sometimes like it's the offline age of PS2. And by the way, can you also include sorting games alphabetically in upcoming firmware?

I had the same problem, download 2 files RAGE DEMO, BINARY EFFECT DEMO, and all of them failed to install with error 80029564... I googled this error and found some discussuin about and then change MTU settings from 1500 to 1024..
Then I redownloaded file after couple of hours... Problem gone...
It could be that this proxy cache was just cleared.. or something was fixed, but anyway if you completely stuck try to change MTU settings, especially if you modem is brand new...

Weird stuff. Ive never had a problem downloading or installing items from the store untill this fortnight when Playstation Plus Updated with Batman: Arkham City. I downloaded: Tokyo Jungle, Batman: Arkham City + Catwoman Bundle, Limbo, DMC Demo, and something else that i cant remember off the top of my head. Everything downloaded fine, Tokyo Jungle installed perfectly, then i got the Error message on Limbo, then the DMC demo, then Batman. Ive deleted and re downloaded the 9-10GB again (good thing ive got unlimited download) and got the same error again ![]()
Will resetting the default settings wipe my saves as others have suggested they do? I have A LOT of saved games (i have used 425gb of my 500gb HDD and its all games) I really dont want to have to do all of that again, its taken me at least 5 years to accumulate all of this ![]()

hey Arathane,
could it be that your hard disk drive is just too full? Mind you, it would take you about three days to backup and restore if you upgraded.
Did you try a "rebuild database" from safe mode? That shouldn't wipe anything.
