Good morning,

I have been a PSN user for about 2 years now without not much issue. My network set up has not changed, I have not bought a new router and my ISP has not changed in that time.

I have always been able to download large PS3 games with PS Plus without issue.

Lots of new games have come out this week and I really want to play them. But weirdly enough, certain games stop at certain points during the downoad.

Warhammer 40k Space Marine stops at 21% 1128mb EVERY time. I have tried resetting file system, putting PS3 on DMZ, using direct ethernet cable, nothing resolves this issue. I delete the download every time and start again by the way, always gets stuck at same point.

Darksiders I have left overnight, but when I get up in the morning the download is just gone, like nothing happened.

Infamous 2 tends to stop around 20% also. This is all during background download.

If I try to download any of these games in the store without background download, eventually I get one of the two errors I have listed in the subject.

Please note my router firmware cannot be upgraded, Edimax seems to have ditched all support for it.

I am at a loss here. What the hell do I do? I am half convinced there are corrupt files on my system preventing my downloads from getting past a certain point.

It's also worth noting that Motorstorm Apocalypse downloaded last night without an issue, and that one is over 6gb.

Tried:

DMZ, ethernet cable, static ip on ps3, turning UPNP off, turning media server off, restoring file system, restoring default settings, lower MTU. Resetting all routers and consoles.

Games:

W40k Space Marine - Stops at 21%

Infamous 2 - Stops at 20%

Darksiders - Disappears

Motorstorm Apocalypse - SUCCESS.

Same issue, Darksiders get to 19%, Need For Speed last week or so got to 32%.  Kinda pointless having the subscription if I can't get the games.  Motorstorm also downloaded ok for me.

Just to add, I have tried booting in safe mode and repairing database/D. It did say my HD was corrupted but this still didn't fix anything. I also put my PS3 in DMZ as I can't do uPNP and even resorted to a system restore and still the same issue. Very frustrating.

Had quite a few reports of this issue so have raised it for investigation.  Once the guys get back to me I will update this thread.

If I need any further info I will ask.

Thanks, I look forward to an update.  I wasn't too fussed about NFS, just put it down to a technical hitch but when I couldn't get Infamous and Darksiders... Whole different story

I actually nearly bought Darksiders a few weeks back so I would have got the same issue I'd imagine.

Hey SFZ just so you know I downloaded all mine and installed no problems Darksiders , Space Marine, LBP2, Infamous 2, Outland etc

I've got a PS3 slim upgraded HDD to 320gb on SKY broadband

I did do the auto shutdown thing for all my download and installs

I have exactly the same issue.

NFS stalled at 32% - I thought it was a 1 time glitch, and I wasn't bothered by this title.

This month

Warhammer 40,000 21%

LBP2 30%

Darksiders 19%

I've been a Playstation Plus member since it's launch and have never previously had issues. I've tried cancelling the download, restarting the system, and downloading again, but they all reach exactly the same point and stall again.

I tried NFS again this month and got to 32% again.

This is extremely frustrating.

Mine all stop at the EXACT percentages as you guys! Weird.

However, took my ps3 round a friend's house, and Warhammer downloaded fine there. Still odd how people are reporting same amount of game downloaded before it stop.s

I'm kind of glad others are having this problem purely because I thought it was only me.  That's why I didn't bother reporting it but in hindsight that wasn't the right move.
