Hi Guys,

As of Friday 18th November 2011 the number of activate consoles will be reduced from 5 to 2.  Users will be able to clear all activated game consoles on there account once every 6 months.

Game content purchased before November 18, 2011 will not be affected by this change in policy, and will still be accessible on up to five PlayStation 3 consoles and/or five PSP systems.

As before you can still deactivate your individual consoles by going into Account Management on the main XMB, then onto System Activation. From here you have the option of which system you have and the ability to activate/deactivate the Game or Video option.

The other option is to use the new PlayStation Network account management Website: https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/login.action

First sign in to your PSN account.

Then select the Account tab located at the top right of the screen.

From here select Media and Dervices from the left side of the screen.

You should then have four boxes one for Video, Game, Music and Comics.  Select the Game box and click Deactivate All.

Finally you will have to confirm the deactivation.

If you have any queries regarding the above process then please give me  a shout.

How come it's deactivate all or nothing ?!
(see above comment also)
Why can't we just edit the active list and deactive individual consoles ???

better! but it still should be only one console per household!

9 times out of 10 you just have one bright spark in the home who likes to dabble in mind games!

Is there anyway to deactivate Video? My original PS3 is long dead so theres no chance of manual deactivation...

Yeah, doesn't quite work when ONE of your PS systems goes defunct eh! So what you're really saying is deactivate ALL, then reactive those you're still using.......aye right!

Re: Guide to the new DRM/Console Deactivation Changes

Is it possible to remotely deactivate the video license on a PS3 I no longer own, similar to this method for games? My old system amber-lighted shortly before Christmas and gave me no chance to deactivate it, so my new system is locked out of renting any video content through the Store. Any help would be great.
