What is a Network Pass and how do I redeem it?
Content:
Many games purchased brand new at retail will include a Network Pass code which allows the player access to the multi-player portion of the game.
In some cases if the game is a single player experience, it will still include a code for those who purchased it new allowing for additional content e.g. making of videos, additional content etc.
Where is this code located?:
When purchasing a new copy of a game, you can check if there is a voucher code included, which will be printed on either the back of the manual, or on a bit of paper enclosed with the game.
The code will be in this format: XXXX- XXXX- XXXX (X representing a number or letter).
What games include this code?:
Not all games currently available will use a Network Pass Code, however it is becoming more common in modern multiplayer games. The code itself is included in the cost of the game when purchased at retail.
The following publishers are known to support these codes:
EA
THQ
Warner Bros
Sony Computer Entertainment
Codemasters
Games published by Sony which support the Network Pass will have this on the box:
What happens if I don't have this code?
It is important to note that not every publisher will use this code to unlock the multiplayer or additional content. In some case this will be on the disc and accessible immediately in the game menu.
Important: If the game you have purchased is meant to have a code, but it was purchased Preowned - the code may not work or may not be included in the box. The code may have been redeemed by the previous owner of the game, so any attempt to use this may result in an error message advising the voucher code is invalid, has expired or has already been redeemed by another account.
If this is the case, you should be able to go to the PlayStation Store and purchase an online pass for the game seperately. Not all content available via code will be made available on the store!
If the disc was purchased as new (security sealed) and the code either does not work, or is not included as it should be:
Sometimes on a the Pass code may come up as not valid, or no content unavailable. In some cases the game may arrive prior to the release date, and therefore the content is not available on the store for download at that time. The most important thing is to check the official release day of the game and only redeem the voucher/network code on or after the day of release.
How do I redeem the code?
Games that require a network pass to access the Multiplayer will generally allow you to redeem the code through the game. This will either prompt access to the content/online mode or you will be redirected in game to the PlayStation store.
1) You can also redeem codes through the XMB:
Go to the Network option on the XMB> Navigate to Account Management> Find the option Redeem Code> there will be three empty boxes allowing you to enter ths code information.
2) This can also be done through the PlayStation store:
Redeem a Voucher Code through the PlayStation store

If you have any queries regarding a specific game code, you can let me know and I can look into this. I will also update if there are any known issues with released game content to be aware off (on Technical Help forums and Twitter).

Hmmm should I buy a game just find out it's just another horrible multi player? I rent games because there is no long term value to any game that comes out now. Yes they look nice play good and are a lot of fun. But I gave up on MP a long time ago. Too many cheaters too much in the way of dedicated hosts. Which guarantees if your not host you have no chance in winning anyway.
So now with this game pass policy. Games like Uncharted 3 that no doubt has this game pass. I did plan on buying it but now I will not buy it. Just to send a message if you do it I will not buy it. Cheers...

I've done all these and still I can not play, when i'm selecting the multiplayer option a message pop up saying "a network pass is required to access online features. pls enable your network pass or purchase one from pss" lol
and I have the receipts from the payment. Perhaps I have to check any settings?
Looking forward for answer!!
