My question is I have 3 ps3's one for me and 2 for my kids. Is there a way to put all 3ps3 into dmz with a linksys router or is this not possible. If not possible with a linksys is it possible with any router. If not is there another way to set them up so they will have a better connection. Thanks!!

Re: How to put your PS3 into a DMZ

When I put my Ps3 into DMZ i went from NAT2 to NAT1. The problem is however, that now it says NAT TYPE:smileyfrustrated:trict in MW2, while it said OPEN before I changed it?

Same with Fifa 11, Went from firewall: "moderat", to "restrictive". I don't understand why as NAT1 should mean that everthing is wide open.

Try turning your routers SPI firewall off in the same router management tool you used to set up the DMZ. Make sure your PC/Laptop has sufficient internal security if you do this.

Re: How to put your PS3 into a DMZ

It says Firewall disabled in my router menu. This is weird. I can still connect in Fifa and MW2, I have tried to play with friends in Mw2 and invited them to co-op as well as looby in online game. Everything seems to work fine, but it still annoys me why it just can't say OPEN

Hey ho, if it's working you're all good. It may be the game and not your router.

[ Edited ]

I know i know.. It's just my compulsive nature. Things need to be right :-)

But,  I still have problems connecting in Fifa 11, with NAT1. But if I understood it right from EA forum, that could be due to problems at the other end? If the other guy has NAT3 for instance? Fifa use peer2peer when we play, Ea servers are only there to serve as a meeting place.

Re: How to put your PS3 into a DMZ

There isn't anything after the instructions once you have done the internet connection test...
