Re: How to put your PS3 into a DMZ

Hey, does anyone know how to do this with a BT HomeHub 2.0A? (the black shiney one)

The only thing i can seem to put in DMZ form my hub's homepage is my laptop, no sign of my ps3 in the list but  It appears in the home network tab.

How can i assign the DMZ to the ps3?

Does it matter if it's got a static IP address?

Please use plain text.

Cheers for this! I am no longer having trouble connecting...

Can you not just forward ports like you do for the Xbox 360?

Wildebeast1 you assing the ps3 a static IP then put the IP in the router for dmz.

Yes you can just forward the ports however some games use diff ports. If you dont know alot about networking setting ps3 to dmz is easier to do since all ports are open in dmz.

Hi :smileyhappy:

Home Hub needs a few extra steps.

1) Assign and note the Static IP address of the PS3 (as per the OP instructions)

2) Leave the PS3 on and connected.

3) Enter the Home Hub config pages through a PC.

4) Under Home Hub Settings, choose Devices.

5) Match the IP addresses listed to the one from the PS3 & rename it to PS3

6) Then enter the DMZ settings in the Home Hub and select the PS3 from the list.

7) Save & exit.  Reboot PS3.

That should do it.
