Put your old account back on your system and re-download the content. Go to users set-up a second user sign-up for PSN with existing account (your old account). All users including your new and old account can then access the content. Your old account will have to stay on the system for the content to work.

is it also possible to transfer the code I used on my old PSN ID to the new one? Or is it possible to deactivate it and then reactivate it using my new ID? I seriously don't want the old one lying around in my PS3 due to some strange unwanted reasons which I'm quite sure you don't want to hear about

Once a code is used with an account, it is then paired with that account for good. If you want to use content from your old account, then you have to have your old account paired with a new local account on your console, and then re-download and install all the content from the PS store using your download history list.

If you remove your old account again you'll lose access to the store content and passes. Your old account must stay on the system for the content to work across accounts.
