i have paid content on 2 accounts and was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to have them both merged together. hope the mods see this and can help me out.

No you can't,  both accounts can exist on the same PS3. Most content can be used buy both accounts.

So there is ZERO reason to merge them any ways. Youll just have twice the emails.

Secondary accounts are good for watching Movies, Iplayer and watching those real bad Music tracks in Vidzone and doing other stuff with out having lots of messages popup for friends, they also stop the first account stats being messed up with lots of Deaths untill you get the controlls memorised in most games.

I like having one account for my services,

I hope they allow merging accounts one day soon as I'd totally use it, one for steam, one for amazon and one for email, keeps things simple

Hi nukester,

Just to reiterate what the guys have already said, you can't combine two accounts I'm afraid. Each account is seen as being distinct from the other.

This also prevents issues with different users combining accounts, which may cause issues down the line for instance.
