My PS3 won't let me play online game matches on Call of Duty: World at War

Whenever I try to play an online match or online Nazi Zombies, a little box pops up and says Parental Restrictions restrict you from playing online. So I went into settings and changed the Parental Restrictions to off, but it still says the same messeage whenever I try to play online! ***** do I do???

If you are on a sub account, parental restrictions need to removed via the support centre.
Give them a call and have the master account hold speak to them, and they can get them removed for you.

Is there any way I can fix it myself?

Have a look in account settings for the parent account. You will need to know the password.

On the PS3 go to Playstation Network > Managing account information > Sub Account management

I'm not sure what's in there because I don't have any sub accounts.

The parent account doens't even have that! It's probably because it is a slim PS3.

OMG REALLY! i created a new account because of this a few years ago. I tried playing warhawk online and it wouldn't let me. I gave them a call and ps support said that you can't play some games on sub accounts.. so I had to make a new account.

I was pretty sure, and I was told by the support centre that you cannot ever get your sub account unassociated from your master account?

Yeah that is correct sub accounts cannot be removed from the master even if you reach the age of 18.

Also in most cases even if the parental lock is removed some games still require a minimum age to play online, for example, burnout paradise requires you to be atleast 16 years old to play even if the parenental lock is removed, so the age is usually set by the developer, if the parental lock is removed you would not have any problems with first party titles like Gt5, UC3 etc
