It tells me to "Go to [Settings] > [Network Setting] and check your settings."

But they are all right

What is your PS3 connecting to? A router/modem? A computer?

Is it a wired connection, or wireless?

If it is connecting to a computer, is Internet Connection Sharing enabled on that computer?

To my modem, wireless.

Other than that I have no idea what else to tell u. I did the test but it keeps failing to get the IP

Just yesterday it was working today I going to play mw3 it won't log me in so I went to network settings and tryed to connect and it keep sayin my obtain ip adress incorrect

Hey Druu,
I would probably suggest contacting your local playstation support centre for some troubleshooting.

But definitely try doing a router reset.
Unplug it and turn off your console for about 5 minutes,
Turn on router first, then PS3 once all lights on router are steady

I've reset the modem and it keeps telling me I the ip address has timed out( this has only happened since I've updated my network from o2 to utility warehouse
