Need instructions on how to access Another Countries Network

[ Edited ]

Just as the topic states, I've got a European copy of FF13-2 (the Crystal copy eat you're heart out!) and I can buy content off of the American Network however it doesn't appear during gameplay (my downloaded content went some where) and infact someone told me how to access an ACN (Another Countries Network) but I have since then forgotten.

However thats not all check this out the PS3 is the Japanese version of FFVII AC (!!!) and I am able to down and use content with my American version of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City just fine so its gotta be the game itself there can be nothing else.

Oh and I live in America and I'm not getting much help here in the States so can EU help me?

Re: Need instructions on how to access Another Countries Network

you have a EU copy of the game, that won't work with the DLC from the american store, you would need to buy stuff from the EU store (which is against T&C's) the resi you have is american, so works with the DLC from the american store...

Re: Need instructions on how to access Another Countries Network

There are several issues you can encounter when accessing content from a different PS Store.

First there are often compatibility issues with DLC from another region.  Also if you have any issues or problems with the DLC then it will be difficult to get support from the different region.

Finally it is against the PSN Terms of Service to falsify your SEN account details and so if you create a account in a different region then it could be banned and you would lose any purchases made on that account.

Long story short the pitfalls of using a different PS Store are to great to risk.

Re: Need instructions on how to access Another Countries Network

a compatiblity issue is what I'm experiencing at the moment.

I'm willing to jump through hoops to get this gear or in the very least and I know its a long shot, a refund on the gear I should get not on the entire card though.

You'd think that since different countries PS3 games are compatible with all systems they'd do the same for this but no.

I'm sorry but I'm gonna go all noob here and ask whats SEN stand for, Sally's Eternal Nagging? Sam's Energy Nugget's?

Losing the purchase would be fine so long as I have it in the game.

Re: Need instructions on how to access Another Countries Network

SEN = Sony Entertainment Network.

And, the T&Cs you seem so surprised by the existance of was that big wall of text you most likely skipped over when creating your account. yYou're supposed to read them before you agree to create your account. Failing to do so is no excuse for not knowing that you agreed to abide by them. Tthe creation of accounts for regions and countries you don't reside in is against the T&Cs and carries up to a permanent ban for doing so, as a result how to do so won't be discussed on the forums.

Also, you won't get any refunds for store purchases. You're only option is to purchase the US version of the game. All DLC is region locked, and has been since the PS Store launched back in late 2006.

Re: Need instructions on how to access Another Countries Network

Now now now messages can be difficult to read because you can't see the emotion one is giving out when typing them out, so from my point of view you're coming off as a little rude other wise I could be mistaken and apologize in advance.

Yes its true that I didn't read T's&C's so in doing so I'm reaching into a jar I can't pull my hand out from, now with that having said yea I skipped over it cause it was a great deal to read and it may of even been able to solve my issue but nothing can ever be achieved without trying.

Thanks for you're input.

In closing there is little I can do to solve this matter but I will try all leads before quiting half way without trying at all and if I'm one who didn't read read the T's & C's theres bound to be more. Unless someone else replys to this thread and I'm interested in messaging about it, case closed.
