PS3 system deactivation???

I have more than one PS3 and also have my PSN account on my all of my brothers PS3's but recently had my 60gb console repaired and when I got it back and reinstalled the hdd it had to be reformatted and I lost everything. I can no longer download any of my games onto it as, although it is the same console I had sent back, I am guessing the motherboard has been replaced and it is now counted as a new system and needs to be activated so I have two questions...

1. Is it possible for the support staff to deactivate my account on just the broken/dead system or can they only deactivate all systems at once?

2. If all systems have to be deactivated, can I just leave the games I have downloaded/purchased on the systems and reactivate each one or will all games etc have to be deleted and downloaded again?

thanks

Re: PS3 system deactivation???

1 - They won't deactivate games for that system as you can have 5 systems activated. Although you MUST call them to get Video deactivated as thats 1 per console.

2 - You can leave the games how they are.

Re: PS3 system deactivation???

sorry, I wasn't clear enough...my account was already activated on 5 consoles, one of them died and when I got it back from repair it has had the motherboard replaced or something (I dont know exactly, but they did send back MY console, not a refurb) anyway, the system now says it needs to be activated so I am hoping that I can get the first system deactivated (which would be the repaired system with it's original guts) and not have to get all of them deactivated...

Re: PS3 system deactivation???

sorry, ignore my last post, I'm tired...

If I can leave the games and just reactivate the consoles without needing to download everything on them all again, then it really doesnt matter if I have to get all systems deactivated...the videos are not a concern, I havent purchased any.
