PSN CARD DOESNT WORK

i bought a psn card £5 from game in putney, when i try to redeem the code it says the following : i have either typed it incorrect or it has been used already, and i havent? so what can i do to get it working or get a new one?

First of all, you might wanna check if any of these apply:

* Before a PSN Card can be used, it must be activated by the retailer where it was purchased. You may want to check with the retailer to make sure the card has been activated. Only a retailer can activate a PSN Card.
* PSN Cards are only redeemable by PlayStation Network Master Accounts (i.e. not Sub Accounts).
* If using a PSN Card causes your Wallet to exceed the maximum amount, the PSN Card cannot be used.
* PSN Cards are case sensitive, make sure you enter the PIN exactly as it appears on the card.
