Just purchased a new white ps3 and stupidly forgot to backup the playstation plus games etc

Anyway left them to download overnight and Littlebigplanet2 (the first game on my download list of about 30) is nowhere near finished and it appears is only downloading at around 1MB per second.

Done a internet connection test last night and this morning which showed a wired connection of 18MB per second, same on my PC.

So why is PSN not using the full 18mb and downloading at a frustrating 1MB a second?

Virgin Media 20meg line by the way.

I'm having the same problems, well mine is a little different, see i'm able to browse the PSN store just fine, when downloading anything it is pointless, my download speeds are terrible, less than 100kb/s ... only hope this is a problem that will go away in time... sigh

If you are using the VM Superhub that will be the problem. A lot of users use an alternative router and put the Superhub in modem mode or hard wire the PS3.
