This afternoon I got signed out of the playstation network... however all attempts to try and resolve it have failed.

I have no idea why this happened or what has changed, I thought maybe it was the speed of the internet, however that is fine... I have run the internet test on the playstation, but for some reason I can't connect to the playstation network...

We have two playstations and this happened a week ago... however mine happened today... When I run the test I can get the obtain ip and internet connection but just not able to connect to the playstation store...

I have no idea what has happened this afternoon to make it go this way... Could someone please help me if they have this problem? I noticed when I did it, it said i had been disconnected from the media server, I'm not sure what that is.... I also had an error was DN media server or something... I have no idea what a media server is... or what has happened this afternoon to make it go like this....

Anyone experiencing this or is it just the playstation network??????????????

There is a post below this one regarding the same kinda thing mate, pretty much SONY is doing Maintenance and it was due to finish at 5:30 NSW time.

yet still i cant sign in kinda annoying.

I too am having the exact same problem. It disconnects me from my media server as well? (If your wondering? The media server is your PC it is picking up on the connection) but why is the PSN disconnecting some and not others?    I MISS MAG =(

just got booted from MAG about an hour ago and cant connect to the network. is it down again or something wrong on my end?

got same problem. have full connection but cant sign in. says timed out. this started happening after i updated to 3.21. solutions? i have 80gb

The best thing to do to begin with is power cycle modem, which is turning off from power point for 5 mins and then re-connect and go through your PS3 network settings.

If that doesn't work we need to know more about your connection, provider, modem type or router, and wired or wireless? So the best thing is to call the support number and we will have real time trouble shooting for you.
