Just to add a bit to what davey23 has said it is not currently possible to change your online ID.  You can, of course create a new account with the online ID you want.

Not really the truth, it comes down to where you live, if your japance you welcome to change it as many times as you like lol

if you DO NOT DELETE your original profile from your PS3 you will still have access to all your PSN content

however, i'm not too sure where you'd stand with access to 'network pass' content? 

t&c states something like 'on 2 activated systems' not sure how it works for different profiles on the 'same' system?

good luck getting an answer from anyone today, i think they're all hiding until the Resident Evil 6 error '80029513' backlash dies down (may take a while) 

you could always create a new profile & see what happens when you try a 'network pass' game?

just DON'T DELETE your original profile
