can't seem to invite each other to our lobby??? 

was ok about a week ago.

any ideas what it might be?

Invite problems are usually caused by a Nat type issue or your routers UPnP function isn't firing on all cylinders.

Port forwarding or placing your PS3 in the routers DMZ is a good way of resolving the issue.

This happened to me about twice (coincidently just after each update).  Both times I just restarted the game and it resolved itself.
