Well guys it started about yesterday my ps3 hasn't been able to sign in to Playstation network it keeps coming up with '' An error has occured. You have been signed out of Playstation Network.'' but when i check the network settings everything is fine and even my computer internet is working okay

What do I do?

Obiviously we will need further information but from what you have typed try doing a power cycle on your modem/router.

Turn your modem off for min 30 sec's and then turn back on try again.

All else fails call us so we can provide real time support over the phone.

 I'm suddenly having the same problem. Everything's been working fine for ages and then suddenly I got booted from the PSN and now I can't sign in. Tried power cycling and playing with settings and nothing changes. Internet test shows I can obtain an IP address no problem but fail at the internet connection. 

I've heard of a couple of other people that suddenly had this problem at the same time (all in New Zealand). What's going on with the PS3 internet?

failing to connect to the internet is not the same not being able to sign in. Obviously your home internet is working or you wouldn't be posting here. Are you using the "easy" network setup? Is it wireless or wired? post  all the results of the network connection test here.

Network connection test says:

Obtaining IP address: Succeeded
Connecting to Internet: Failed

and it ends. I'm on a wired but also tried it with wireless.

I'm chatting to a couple of people at the moment who are going through some deep setup options so I'll let you know!

IPaddrees obtained, connection to internet failed but your PC is working. That is very odd indeed. Power off and restart your router just to be sure.

What does it say about UPNP?

Are you using Easy network  setup?

I keep having a similar problem... Internet connected and succeeded... Yet when my system test gets to ps network it takes forever then says failed, every time... tried changing from wireless to wired, turning the modem and everything off and leaving it for half a day before re connecting every thing, taking it to my mates house and trying it through his connection... nothing seems to work and it's been an on-going problem since december - occasionally it may get through but at the moment it's very far and few successfull attempts... Let me know if you have any ideas or if yours rectifies itself.....Thanks!

ive got the same problem. it has nothing to do with my connection as it tests perfect and never have had major problems with it. after i updated to 3.21 i suddenly couldnt sign in and it just said "network timed out". i have 80gb.
