Re: Help with credit card block

You pick up the phone and call your local Sony support line (you can find the phone number in the back cover of any of your game manuals, or in the manual that came with your PS3) and talk to them. This isn't something that can be fixed on a community forum. They will need to confirm your identity, and that can't be done here.

Re: Help with credit card block

Stop attempting purchases via CC for a week, fix your details up and use prepaid vouchers in the mean-time.

You just lost The Game.

Re: Help with credit card block

Is it an actual credit card or a visa/mastercard debit card ??
If it's a debit card the PSN doesn't fully support them.......it's a hit and miss situation, but just leave it be for 24 hours and try again, there must be $1 in your bank account also cuz PSN will withrawl $1 (then re-imburse) for verification purposes

Re: Help with credit card block

I'm in the same position as crome44caliber - there doesn't seem to be a way to fix it. Pretty crazy that Sony can't support simple problems on their own network.

Re: Help with credit card block

Hey there,

I've posted a guide recently, but I'll summarise here as well.

When using a credit card on the Sony Entertainment Network, you do need to ensure all the details you have entered are correct.

The name you enter MUST match what's printed on the card.

The address you enter MUST match the details on your credit card company / financial institution statement.

Debit cards and prepaid credit card work differently to standard credit cards, and may not work all of the time.

If you have a failed attempt at a transaction, the system may lock you out of any transactions for 24 hours.

The credit card's country must match the country of your Sony Entertainment Network account.

If you're unsure, call your local PlayStation Support Centre and they can verify your details and discuss further.
