When PSN went down quite some time ago for those few weeks, I had to sign in again. However I didn't remember my password, and I didn't enter the correct date of birth.

I wouldn't care, except for the fact I have made several large purchases on that account in the store, and I want access to them again.

Is there any way I could get Sony to send me an email with my password on it?

They cannot tell you your password. Passwords are hashed (one-way encrypted) before being stored in the database. They can change your password, but only after confirming that the account is yours. The only way to do either of those things is over the phone with Sony directly. You can find the phone number for your nearest Sony support centre in the back cover of any of your game manuals, or in the manual that came with your PS3.

If you have forgotten your password and can't remember when your date of birth is, then best to call the PlayStation Support Centre on:

AUS: 1300 365 911

NZ: 09 415 2447

The Support Centre will need to try and identify you, if they can not, then sorry but you should know your information.
