Re: Problems with PSN after the most recent maintenance (2/2/12)

Looks like they ain't just pickin' on us Aussies and Kiwis as well....

Which at least means the problem is easily big enough to get a good amount of attention and hopefully be fixed shortly. Looks like it might be a PS+ thing as well, maybe.

yeah ik this is unacceptable, they take our money np & then refuse 2 fix problems in a timely fashion! perhaps its time we all got 2gether & made them understand that without us they'd have nothing. can any1 say consumer affairs!

Yup, same problem here - thought it was just because the maintenance yesterday, but still an issue today. Deffo keen to keep being able to access the store :smileyhappy:.

@Shadow Walker - network outages happen everywhere, be they Steam, XBL, PSN or what-have you. PSN's had a rough year though.

True, but they seem tp have more problems than all other online gaming networks combined and I've never, on any other gaming platform, had as many problems as I have had with my PS3.

Re: Problems with PSN after the most recent maintenance (2/2/12)

Hey! - I am based in Shropshire (The Shire), England - and all of the above issues are occuring on my system so you are not alone!

I email PSN support Friday night and sadly no one has come back to me (even though they say they will come back to me within 24hrs) - I saw that one our fellow gamers contacted PSN support on phone and they say they are aware of the issue and working on it -

In addition, I recieved a email yesterday saying that PSN will be changings its name and that it will come into place on the 8th February - so hopefuly this change will fix everything!

End of the day I just want my DLC (and not lose my money!) - and I want it before 9th March as I have just pre-ordered Mass Effect 3 Collectors Edition!!.....

Come on Sony!...

XBL's had as many, although they had more earlier in the piece - this year has been PSN's horror year.  Steam was also a bit more hit-and-miss once upon a time (and had a hacking incident similar to that on the PSN not so long ago, but unlike the PSN the gaming media almost completely ignored it - biased much?  Yes, Steam wasn't forced offline, but it did have multitudes of user accounts compromised in almost exactly the same way as the PSN.  Just goes to show the bias in gaming media these days).  Accidents happen, and the newer the service, or the more change going on, the more likely (just look at how the new 360 dash messed with the colours on HD video playback - and MS were told of that during their dash's beta!)

That said, I'm not saying that this isn't plain and simple a stuff-up on Sony's part, and looking forward to them sorting it :smileyhappy:.

Re: Problems with PSN after the most recent maintenance (2/2/12)

Hey all - just got the following response from Sony regards to issues with PSN and DLC:

Thanks for your e-mail about PlayStation Network.
I can see from your e-mail that you are experiencing difficulties accessing content in your download list. We're aware of this issue and are currently working hard to fix it. Unfortunately, we don't have an ETA of when this will be resolved and would advise to wait for a short period of time before trying to access your content and download list again.

Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
In the meantime, should you have any other queries, please call PlayStation Support on 0844 736 0595, quoting reference 2540385, where one of our team will be happy to help you.
Thank you,

Re: Problems with PSN after the most recent maintenance (2/2/12)

i was wondering what happened to my download list ($1000's worth of dlc) & why i couldn't download anything from the store.... so it's mainly affecting +subscribers.... & there's no ETA on a fix... you would think they'd test things internally, & then do an external test to a small tester group before doing anything that might affect potentially hundreds of thousands of people's accounts.... i guess that'd be too sensible! ....awesome fail

I have mailed scee support with all the details and how I used every possible way to solve it myself.

Pfft, no ETA. Sounds typical. They can screw up a bunch of people's paid accounts in a few hours of maintanence but when it comes to actually fixing it you miss out on the entire weekend.

No eta= Sorry its the weekend now so we are going to push aside our mistakes and not worry over the weekend since we will still make money.

Gotta love these asses when they dont really give much communication. :smileysad: I want to download my ff13-2 dlc
