US OR AU PSN? (MAIN)

Hey Guys, I'm in a very big dillema here, I have been using my au psn account for some time, and have been thinking to switch over to the us psn due to the fact that it has more games, etc.I am now thinking whether to use a us psn account as my main? What do you think? What region are your main psn account? AU OR US?Also I am going to America next month and planning to buy lots of special editions for many games such as Max Payne 3,Ghost Recon, etc. Also isn't the US PSN Store better than the AU? And I'm going to come back to Australia and will buy AU Releases
After.

Which one should I sign up for? AU OR US?

What is your main psn account? AU OR US?

Re: US OR AU PSN? (MAIN)

i think you will find in the PSN leagle thing that you first sign upo to, it is not alowed to have a foren account, like you live in AU and making an US account. sure people have them, but its something sony can take away from you. thats sayingif they really want to.

im not 100% on it but wait till the week for a mod to give the final word about it

Re: US OR AU PSN? (MAIN)

Hey guys,

We're usually always lurking about.

All I can say is that if you live in Australia, then the only address you'll be able to enter as your residential address is an Australian one.

So, if you were to set up an American account with an Australian address, that would be against the Terms of Service for the PSN, and we wouldn't recommend doing that.

Re: US OR AU PSN? (MAIN)

You can have two accounts on the one ps3. I would suggest using an Australian account as your main account, and also setting up a US account (when you're in the US since you'll have a legit address - re: sbs).

The games you purchase via the US account can still be played on your main AU account. For example, The Walking Dead isn't available on the AU store, so I used my US account to purchase it, and this allows me to play it on either my US account or my AU account.

Keep in mind, any games you purchase from the US have the DLC region locked to the US store. Might be a good idea to purchase a few US psn cards whilst overseas to cover any DLC you may want to own along side the games you buy in Amercia.

So to answer your questions:
Which one should I sign up for? AU OR US?
Both :smileyhappy:

AU - my US account is only used to download content from the US store (when it's not available here or it's at a significantly discounted price)

Re: US OR AU PSN? (MAIN)

Hi Mod :smileyhappy:
A little O.T for this thread but can you tell me if I DL a DLC from my US PSN acc ( it's not my main ACC ) will the DLC be available for my main PSN ( AU ) account on the same console? The DLC isn't available in the AUS PSN Store.
Cheers :smileyhappy:

Re: US OR AU PSN? (MAIN)

Us DLC will only work on us games. So if u have an au game, the us dlc will not work. Dlc is locked for where it is sold. But if u do have the us game and the us dlc, then it can be used on ur au account
