Laptop vs. Desktop PC

What do you think is best and why?

I never used to much like Laptops, they were expensive, and not very powerful, but now; for less than a PC you can get a very good Laptop. Like having a proper keyboard & monitor with a Desktop Computer though.

What do you think?

Want a cool looking PC?

You can get this for half the price of an alienware.

It's only £5000.

Lol!

How much would someone be looking at spending for a top spec Alienware PC? I'm guessing it would be crazy monies?

Are they only £17000 now.

I remember a few years ago, I think it was the Power Mac G5, the top spec came to around £30,000 :o

I'm happy with my £2000 MBP :p, I have an old Dell desktop but I rarely use it anymore.

There was a guy on this forum (I know the name but can't spell it, he has a Gears of War avatar) who spent £6500 on an Alienware PC :| That's not including a monitor or anything.

Hodgy had a similar specced PC which I believe he built for less than £1000.

I like Pc's best. Also Alienware PC are a big rip off. i got a decent Pc which plays all the latest games for £500. they are charging £650 on there. you could probably by the parts for less than £400. Bet your paying £100 for the case which makes it look good. But really its crap for the money.
