Minecraft min specs?

12 Replies 728 Views Created 12-03-2011

My computer is infamous for it's ability to run f*** all, so I was just wondering what the minimum specs are to run Minecraft? I don't want to pay money for something that won't work, if you know what I mean.

Re: Minecraft min specs?

Your specs look fine. I was playing it on an old laptop I had with only 350kb RAM, it was a little laggy but still played.

On the Minecraft website if you register you can play the classic version for free, maybe try that before purchasing it.

Re: Minecraft min specs?

I thought there is a free version you can go on, but that might of been a year ago.

Re: Minecraft min specs?

Yeah, but playing Classic in the browser isn't really much of a hold on what playing Beta within my PC is going to be like, is it? :smileysad:

Re: Minecraft min specs?

There isn't a massive difference between the Beta and Classic, if you don't lag while using the browser you should be fine with it on your computer.

In the game there are video settings to help with lag too, and they do help alot.

Re: Minecraft min specs?

My iPhone can run a Minecraft copy, so I assume even a bad PC can run it.

I wouldn't say it is designed to play games, its just a useful by product that Apple are now focusing on :smileyhappy:

Tbh, the power of the iPhone is probaly a lot less than your PC.
