What apps\widgets you got for ya phone\tablets?

I wanna make sure I'm not missing out on anything cool\useful and I'm also interested to see the variety of apps we all got here.

Although do state if you got the apps for an iphone or android and if talking about tablet let us know which one to make it easier to follow.

So to start things off (this isn't the full list, I will update more later) here are some of my apps:

Android

BBC News (widget)

Twitter app (Don't really like the widget of this)

Facebook app (Don't like widget of this either)

YouTube

PlayStation (Widget)

National Rail (Widget)

Metrics Converter

Dictionary

Cut The Rope

Advanced Task Killer

ebay

Game Dev Story

Sky Sports

Sky+

Toddler Lock

iPad

iPhoto

iMovie

Garageband

Numbers

KeyNote

Pages

Facebook\Twitter\Youtube\linkedin

Debt Manager

Bryan Cox's Wonders of the Universe

Jamie Oliver's Recipe app

Amazon Kindle

As I said I will add more when I remember or have the time to go through the devices to look at, but at least you get the general gist of what I'm going for.

I think it be quite nice to see what we are all like via our smartphones\tablets.

Anywho I showed you mine now you show me yours :p

TVcatchUp is good, I have the MetOffice app as well. I don't have many, I find I use them a couple of times but never again so they get deleted. I have the Shell app as well cause I get double points bonuses that need to be activated through it.

Yes and personally I like it very much if you exercise. The free version has all that you need to keep track of your routine and your personal goals / bests. It caters for all sorts of activities and has the options to connect with friends, follow them and encourage them through messages and likes etc.

If you have ice cream sammich on android, get ICS Browser+ on the market.

Go into the settings, advandced, Browser+ settings and set "user agent" to desktop. Then when you use this forum you get the proper text editor, and other sites like facebook/youtube load up their desktop sites usually without error.

This site works perfect on it.

Also to look out for are Chrome Beta, and Firefox Beta on ics, They allow you to open up tabs that you have open on your pc browser and continue browsing as you sit on the toilet, they have some tiny bugs though and I wouldnt use them as default, I do use ICS Browser+ as default.

Advanced Task Killer is pointless on android as android manages memory usage properly, if anything this will waste the battery.

3G watchdog
Battery snap
Google Goggles (infact most google apps)
^^^ all good

I have a smart phone, but I don't really use it as one. All I want is an old style phone with a good camera & great MP3 player. Think the w850i but a new version.

I don't run any apps on my android phone at the moment.

My Samsung Galaxy S1 is so dodgy that it I am forced to use Advanced Task Killer to force close programs that are crashing the phone.

What's 3G watchdog about?

I do agree with getting as many Google apps as possible.  Same with Apple and their apps.  They both tend to know what they are doing lol

Thats fair enough then, but the majority of time task killer will close an app thats running in the background that is needed to be left open, so its a case of app is closed by task killer, app reopens itself, then task killer closes it etc etc causing unnecessary usage.

3G watchdog is a monitor of the 3G network and tells you how much you've used, you set your plans limits and when its reset, 3G watchdog will warn you when your usage is close to the limit.

Google goggles is great, i've used it a few times on a profile site to scan someones photo and its given me the actress the 'lady' is using pics of lol ;)

Call confirm is a must for me too, it basically pops up a box when you goto dial someone asking if you ment to call, saves accidently calling someone when phone is in pocket.

I would suggest deleting the app that instrusively keeps trying to open up after being closed, as that up will cause battery drain.

Quite interesting to see what you got on each screen.

I love how android allows you to have direct dial to certain contacts on the main page.  Something iPhone doesn't have and I would most certainly miss if I ever decide to switch.

To be honest I think most of us have the same apps.  Not sure how many apps are on the Android Play and iTunes stores but I think most of us just stick the bog standard and\or well known apps.

I thought we would all have something completely different but as it turns out we are all the same more or less lol.

I don't really like playing games on my phone or even my ipad.  I got a PS Vita and a PC Gaming rig for that kind of thing.
