Is the psp e-1000 worth buying?

It is for a seven year old and I was just wondering if I should get it or a psp 3000 or even a vita.

Please use plain text.

Re: Is the psp e-1000 worth buying?

If it is for a seven year old then you're probably as well off buying an E-1000.

It features UMD playing of games, Music and Video Playback from Memory stick or UMD and games can be added to it from PlayStation Store using the Media Go software for PC or using a PlayStation 3 console.

The console lacks all wireless connectivity so cannot be used for multiplayer and cannot connect to the internet. It doesn't have any web browsing featurs nor access to the store itself and it only has a Mono speaker.

It's not a bad console, however, if you're looking for a budget console it does the job. The 3000 has a better quality screen, stereo speakers and wifi which makes it far superior. The vita is very expensive for a 7 year old and would probably end up broken if I'm honest. The 3000 may well too, however it wouldn't be as costly to replace. He or she could always upgrade to the vita when they're older, and any PSP (Download) games would be able to be transferred across to the vita.

It's down to you, however it's weighing up features VS cost. If they're prone to breaking things then E-1000, mid range is the 3000 and the Premium is the Vita. Super Delux is the Vita 3G, however I'd guess that's out the question!
