Lack of content on the Playstation Store for PSP

Sony has described the PSP as a device that is capable of playing games, movies, music and more, but when it comes to jumping on to the Playstation Store with the thought of downloading a couple of new release movies or a new song heard on the radio, the selection provided becomes very limited in a very short space of time.

I just think that Sony could have done a much better job of making the Playstation Store a much more integral part of the Playstation Portable experience. I think an obvious avenue would be to offer a service much similar to iTunes (Made by Apple) in which Movies, TV Shows and Music are abundant and cost a small amount to download.

Now I do know that the music service Qriocity is available on the latest firmware so far (6.60) but this service is far from where it could be.

Since I am in New Zealand there is much less of a selection than elsewhere in the world on the Playstation Store, even when it comes to games, but I seriously think Sony should put a lot more effort into making the Playstation Store a core part of the PSP in a big way.

Most of this rant is brought on by myself owning a PSPgo which is a console dedicated to this Playstation Store, and I wish that the latest TV Show was available to download and watch from the Store. It gets a bit of a pain having to convert every movie file and transfering it to the PSP via my computer.

To Sony, it is not too late to make use of this opportunity and expand your reach in the ONLINE gaming world as well as the digital media like Movies and TV Shows that people would be happy to pay for if there was a service in place.
