New PSP

does anyone know if the new PSP that supports 3G if its only for internet connectivity or if it accepts sim cards like telstra optus vodafone etc so we can send texts and make calls just like a mobile phone? cause that would be sweet, id so buy it if it can. will be my next mobile phone :smileyvery-happy:

It's only for the internet.

that sucks i wont be buying the new psp then. they just keep upgrading, waste of money plus you always have to download games if you want a game, internet isn't avaialable 24/7 for some people

The new NGP (PSP2) will have games that are on physical media, as well as downloadable games :smileyhappy:

I thought NGP took a micro sim like iphone 4 for 3G connectivity.

The point of the 3G capability is so you can have the PSP almost always with a net connection. It will also use physical media ontop of that aswell. It will also most likely have skype again aswell so you'll be able to use net phone calls if you like. I'm pretty sure it will use a micro sim aswell. It will have GPS aswell as normal Wifi ontop of the 3G.

It's going to be a very powerful social device, aswell as media and Playstation 3 level visuals/gameplay in your hand.
