PSP 3000 or wait for new one

I am thinking of getting a PSP the Resistance package, I especially like what you can do with the game using the dualshock. Then on the other hand I have heard from a few friends and looking around, about a new PSP that could be out before the end of the year. What should I do buy one now or wait?

I am in the same boat. I was tempted to getting the resistance pack to upgrage my release PSP, but I think I will wait for the next model.
