Re: PSP GO 10 FREE GAMES

[ Edited ]

Aargh! Day 7! Nothing!

"When will I get my code?

You will receive the the PSN promotion code within 30 days of the end of the Promotional Period. But you are likely to get it within a week."

From http://au.playstation.com/psn/support/psp/detail/item283411/PSP%E2%84%A2go-game-offer-(selected-titles-only)/

How many people have actually received it within a week?

Re: PSP GO 10 FREE GAMES

Haha.. The promotional period ends on 30th September, so you could be waiting until the end of October..  If I had known this I wouldn't have bought the PSP Go.  Unfortunately I can't return it for a refund now, either :smileysad:

Re: PSP GO 10 FREE GAMES

For people who have rung Sony about their PSPgo code, is this the number you used?

"For assistance on Consumer
Electronics products
or for general enquiries:

Contact Sony by phone:
1300 13 SONY (7669)

Hours of Operation (AEST):
Monday to Friday – 8am to 6pm "

Re: PSP GO 10 FREE GAMES

on a separate note, is it safe to say we're unlikely to expect emails from Sony on the weekends?

Re: PSP GO 10 FREE GAMES

just FYI, apparently this guy posting in the UK forums, waited for 30 days and called Sony about it, he was apparently told that the 30 days doesn't include non-working days (weekends not counted) and was told to continue waiting for another week or so

got Re: PSP GO 10 FREE GAMES

Well I downloaded it on 17 Jun, it's been 40 days, when I called Sony today, they told me it takes 30 working days?

On the promotion page, it clearly says that it takes 30 days, why they just add "working days" after I made the purchase.

Also everytime I call, they keep asking me to wait longer.

They just keep put it off and tell me there is nothing much they can do as the codes are generated from Europe, what does that even mean? If they run this promotion for marketing, they should be capable of dealing it themseleves.

Well at last they told me if I dont receive it next week (which will be more than 40 days), they will send an investigation to Europe which will take up to another month!!!

I am just so disappointed with this, what kind of customer service is that?

The reason I bought a PSP Go is the free game that come along with it and now I dont even know if I am getting it.

Suggestions to everyone who still wants to get a PSP GO, you better ask for a garantee that you will get the free games.

Sony I will give you one more week, otherwise will definitely do something, you are just cheating on consumers!!

Re: got Re: PSP GO 10 FREE GAMES

just got off the phone with Sony, so yeah got pretty much a similiar response. The guy on the phone also mentioned a 30 "business" days wait for me. Also mentioned that there's no way for him to check whether I'm on waiting list for the code either, all he could do was verify that I've done all the procedures correctly.

He did however mentioned that there's a huge variation of when people get their codes, saying that some people actually get it the days after and some having to wait the full 30 "business" days

So yea, that's my experience calling Sony.

*downloaded theme on 16/7/2010, so its been 10 days (8 "business" days) for me.

@chronophysicist

Nope. But I've calculated that 30 business days means I should receive it by August 27. *sigh*
