I read up there someone mentioning not losing the special cable. That's not true at all. It's a standard mini-B, it's the actual charger (think of the new iphone chargers) that you really need to take care of.

the mini-b usb is for the psp X000. the psp go has its own cable that cant be lost. if u do loos it, good luck finding a new 1

Re: Should I get the psp go?

Yes you should get a GO there great even though other people disagree, I love my GO there so portable  but the digital media move wasn't the greatest but it didn't effect me much because I didn't have that many UMD's. Basically if you don't have many UMD's and you don't mined downloading  all you games then get one. Ohh yeah if your local game trader is selling it for $400 your getting ripped off. You also have to get a new one if you want to get the 10 free games offer.

Agreed. :smileyhappy:

I've misplace my cable a few times and the result was me not being able to use my PSPgo for a few weeks (I found it acouple of weeks later). :smileysad:

Re: Should I get the psp go?

It depends on what you want out of a PSP.

Personally I don't find anything wrong with the console. Its definitely worth the $229AU I paid. Solid/ well designed, comfortable to use and very sleek! Its simply AWESOME being able to carry around your whole PSP collection in your pocket (which was really the deciding factor for me) and the device is the size equivalent of an iphone albeit slightly thicker with quite a bit of battery life. More than my PSP 2000 anyway!

Its the game support thats the problem. But its mainly the certain regions PSN store managers fault. The USA store is quite good.

You can only have one account on your PSP GO unlike the PS3. If you have games from other regions (which you may have downloaded because your region doesn't supply them on their store) you will need to change the activation to the appropriate PSN Account to be able to play it. While it does feel like utter BS, I also think its perfectly legit for Sony to do this. It helps people buy from their proper region. The US has a lot of the games the AU store doesn't and are nicely priced such as Silent Hill Origins at $10US.

We are missing some great titles on the AU PSN. Most of the ones that on there are pure hit and miss like Football Manager and s*** Midas (a horrible game making company) games instead of quality titles and most of them bar Dead Head Fred expensive to boot!

This and the pain of the PSP Go only supporting the old DUN bluetooth internet tethering which almost no phone uses anymore, so you can't buy a game and install it to play on the run.

However I still enjoy the device. I just bought Ghost of Sparta for $45AU which because its during the release week, comes with a bunch of themes, an avatar, soundtrack and DL content. I found this fairly reasonable not only for my region as a new release but also compared to UMD prices. I played it for 2 and a half hours non stop and was really getting into it.

I like my PSP GO and recommend it IF the things I mentioned aren't a MAJOR turn off for you.

Re: Should I get the psp go?

The question still remains...
It's a Good Friday holiday, you're a PS3 owner and your PSPgo's battery completely dies, but then you go to look for your PSPgo (propriety) charging cable only to find that you left it at your Uncle's place (in Sydney...and you're from W.A.)...
All shops are closed and you really want to dl a 1 day only promo to get a new retail game for free...What do you do?
You look at your PS3 and wish that the controller charging cable was compatible to charge your PSPgo (because your PSP (3000 model) was all good with that cable).
The only thing to do is stab yourself in the eye and throw your PSPgo against the wall (in complete anger and insanity) as hard as you can.

Really...The only thing to do is stab yourself in both eyes with a pencil and throw your PSPgo against the wall (in complete anger and insanity) as hard as you can.
