It is always recommended to download the latest system software available for your PSP. This allows you to have the most up to date features, as well as the ability to play all the latest software titles.

There are two ways in which you can Update your PSP:

Update via Internet

Update via Storage Media

The links above provide a step by step guide to updating via either method.

When you have finished downloading the update, this will then be installed on the system. It is important not to interrupt the install and also ensure the unit is plugged into a power source during this process. When the system software is 100% complete, the console will restart and you will be prompted on screen how to proceed.

Please Note: If the battery level is too low on the PSP, the install will not begin. It will only do this if the battery life is greater than 70%.

On the BMX (the main menu) go to settings then go to system update then if you have a wifi hot spot that you a use click it the if there is a new software out there it will update it
