I logged in from his PSP with my sign in ID (parentel account) in order to access "account management".

Now my son cant log in to playstation store from his PSP with his sign in ID (sub account).

Error message says "You cannot sign in using another users sign in ID"

I want to download the welcome back games for him, but it doesent seem to work from the parental account as a message says:

 "this system is activated with a different account. If you perform this operation, you will not be able to use content that reqires activation of the other account on this system."

I am not sure exactly what this means (you will not be able to use content that reqires activation of the other account on this system), but it sounds as if  my son then not will be able to use his old games?

I would be great to get some help me as I´m totally lost. Not very fun to try to help the kids when yore not into the "gaming thing" yourself at all.

Hi omas05,

The PSP sign in works in a slightly different way to that of the PS3 in that it will only allow you to retain one user at a time. You can press triangle on 'Account Management' and delete the user, and sign in with the Sub Account (you will not loose your Master Account and can log in again with the same steps).

When you sign in with a different account on the PSP, you will need to ensure the account is active on the PSP. When logged in, press X on 'Account Management', there will be the option for system activation. Once activated you are able to download games, however as they are different accounts you will not be able to play the downloaded game unless logged into the account it was purchased under.

Also the nature of a Sub Account (and the age rating) means restrictions on the games you can download (and play if deemed unsuitable in the age bracket).

I deleted my master account and used his and it seems to work!!

I have one more question though. If I change sign in ID again and use the master account ID to download free game no. two (with age restriction). Can my son still access all of "his" games if we change back to his sign in ID, or will they dissapear?

PSP message when I try to download from the master account:

If you download the second game on your Master Account, you will be able to play the game on only this account. The games on the Sub Account will still be there (and vice versa) you will see the thumbnail for the game on the menu, but cannot access it unless the game is tied to the appropriate account (so the game doesn't disappear from the system, it just becomes inaccessible).

The unit itself will not remove the game(s) unless you decide to delete the content under your user.
