Re: PSP Instructions: Updating and USB Mode

I'm having problems connecting my PSP to my MAC.

I have a USB lead and it works on other computers when i enter USB connection mode.

It says on different websites that my MAC should just pick it up when i enter this mode but no matter how many times i try it won't happen. I've even rebooted and tried it on my emulator. Still no respond from my MAC and my PSP just says 'Please wait'.

Any ideas at all, its starting to annoy me?

Re: PSP Instructions: Updating and USB Mode

are u dloading on pc or via wireless straight to PSP?

if pc, it will be where u told it to be, but if u dunno where that is, redownload it again but this time make sure u no where it is
if via wireless, it will go straight to the GAME area, so u can install straight away...

[ Edited ]

Hi

I'm from Germany so my english coul be bad

I've got an USB problem with Windows XP SP3

If I plug in the PSP with the USB Cable (and go to USB mode of course^^)  it says "PSP Type A" at the hardware assistant

if I try to install the PSP Windows doesn't find any drivers for the PSP!!!

it worked at the same PC and the same OS (Win XP SP3) 1 week ago but now Windows doesn't recognize the PSP as an USB stick

Please help! cause I can't use the Media Manager 3.0 , too ....

Thx

EDIT: I've got the newest version, 5.01, on my PSP

Re: Betreff: Re: PSP Instructions: Updating and USB Mode

I dont know what to do, but Tyrant posted this on page 1:

For anyone experiencing the psp type A or type B message when connecting via USB, and it says it cannot find drivers.

The solution I have found to work well is to let the device wizard let you choose driver location, when you have selected that option get your computer to search:

C:\Windows\System32

And make sure to check the "search all subfolders" tab

This SHOULD get your computer to find the drivers needed, just repeat for as many things come up until it says device is ready to use.

Sorry if poor German, I used Google Translater.

i think my english is better than the german of google xD

Thx but i've tried it several times, now i've got a solution!

you need USBSTOR.INF and USBSTOOR.SYS in one folder....then let windows look in this folder

and here is the folder:
