PSP WiFi connection issues

Was on a National Express train yesterday so I set up the free WiFi connection on the PSP and tested it; signal 99%. When I tried to go online/ check for updates I got 'SSL communication cannot be performed. A handshake error has occurred in SSL' or 'Connection cannot be established'.

Why?

Sounds like the WiFi wasn't so free. Either that or there where compatibility issues with the router and your PSP.

 

Have you tested your PSP on other wireless routers?
