PSP model number question

I was trying to register my PSP on here, but the model number for the PSP I have isn't listed in the selection list for the PSP registering. What can I do?

Re: PSP model number question

What model number do you have? I believe there may be different model numbers for European/US/Asian PSPs - where did you buy it? Is it an import? If so, you could try going to the appropriate regional website and seeing if it's listed there.

I don't think it's vitally important information anyway. If you can't find it, just pick the closest match. Registering your product doesn't affect how you get product support or anything like that.

Re: PSP model number question

What is the model number you are trying to register?  If the PSP has been purchased from another region (e.g. Japan or the US) you will not be able to register it on the European website.

Cheers.

Hi xMonstaMunchV2x,

That shouldnt be an issue in terms of the service or warranty you receive on the console. The point of registering the hardware is purely for allowing you to enter competitions on the website. You will not be penalised for an incorrect model number.
