My PSP got turned off while LBP was loading.
When I turned it on again there was a blue wall of death that said the system settings were corrupt and to press circle to restore defaults.
I did that and then went through setting time, location, name etc. Then re-setup network connection, theme settings until all looking good again.
But, when I went to play LocoRoco 2 got told "to use this content, you must activate the system (8010850F)"
same with CTR and all the game demos downloaded from PSN
After reading forums seems I must activate the PSP on my PS3 presumably because PSP was plugged into the PS3 to download from PSN Store.
But won't this use up one of my '3 lives' for use of downloaded PSP content?
Is there any other option?
Got home. Signed in to PSN on the PSP.
Selected account management > activation > games and activated the PSP.
So I can now play my games.
Still can't read the comics I've bought - when go to open a comic get the "to use this content, you must activate the system" message.
When I select account management > activation > videos/comics I'm told that it's 'not available in your region'.
I bought the comics at the NZ PSN Store, via my (wireless network connected) PSP; the comics are there in my store download history . . and now I'm told that functionality isn't available in my region,
and I can't read the comics I bought.
How crap is that?
For games the "to use this content, you must activate the system (8010850F)" message can be removed, and access to your downloaded content allowed, by either
1. signing in to PSN on your PSP then selecting account management > activate/ deactivate > games
2. connecting the PSP to your PS3 bia USB and signing in then selecting account management > activate/ deactivate > psp > games
For comics the only option seems to be to delete all comics from the PSP and then download them again
But, the main thing is to make sure everyone who uses your PSP knows not to turn it off when it is accessing the memory card or UMD
