I sold my Fallout3 for $50 as soon as I heard the GOTY edition was coming out. Pretty good considering I payed exactly the same for it in first place. I really want to continue the story as there was so much I didn't get to do as I didn't expect the unexpected ending

That's a good price.

The new expanded areas look so good!!!! When you get the GOTY play Broken Steel first as it ups the level cap from 20 to 30 and also adds the new ending. And Broken Steel also contains some of the most powerful weapons in fallout. 

It's looking so good!!!

It's only a month away, and it'll go quickly.

But keep in mind, a lot of people will be expecting to get the game in the first two days of release, it well sell out quickly and some game stores might not have enough copies for thoses who didn't pre-order. So, if you can, pre-order a copy of it, so you are guarantee a copy of it. 

I'm not sure how other game stores do their pre-orders as I only use GameTraders, but I do know that if you pre-order your copy from GameTraders, it is consider a lay-by as well. So, if you can't pick it up or pay it off on the day, you get 2 months from the release date to pay it off. Which is really good, if you're short on cash that week.

I've heard that sometimes, when you pre-order with EB and you don't pick it up within the week or on the day, you lose your copy and it goes to the next person. That sucks.

Any news on DLC yet? Or do we think it will be released at the same time as the goty edition? Want now

Well, the first DLC will be released out the end of Sept, but then the others between 2-6 weeks after each other. So far the X360 release of Mothership Zeta will coincide with the GOTY Edition that's it, then they have all DLC and the GOTY.

The PS3 will have the GOTY before the second or third DLC is avalible on the PSN. 

Fallout 3: GOTY: 1 month and 3 days.

Modern Warfare 2: 109 Days.

Any news as  to wether old saves will work with the GOTY Ed?

I read ages ago that they would work as long as you had the latest updates, but who knows really.

Well, the Oblivion GOTY worked with the old save game data as long as both the game and save data is the same region.

It would be stupid if Bethseda changed it. 

If you have updated recently, so that your Fallout 3 dara has trophies then the GOTY will work fine and a message should put up that the additional places have appeared. 

If you don't have the Fallout 3 trophies yet, then you'll have to start again.
