The only demos that probably expire are the online multiplayer ones. I think the ones you list will be fine - if they're on your store. Download them now and you can keep 'em for as long as you like.

Ah, you know it's summer when you come home and find that the pouring rain has come in through the window you had to leave open last night because it was so hot and has soaked your dualshock 3 and an external hard-drive you were using to back up your system. Ah.... ![]()
But you don't want to hear about my troubles (no damage done, hopefully), you're here for the demo news. One new PS3 demo this week - and it's enormous. 2GB, to be precise - and it's a multiplayer demo for Blur.

Another week, another solitary PS3 demo. This is the Kane & Lynch 2 demo, giving you a taster of the single and multiplayer modes, and was supposed to be exclusive to the PS+ subscribers for a massive two days... And now it's (officially) available for everyone to download. The original demo remains available for download, though by most accounts the sequel is a much-needed improvement on the original.

Bumper crop of demos and trial versions today! Makes a nice change. As well as the heavily anticipated Earthworm Jim HD (trial version), we've got Madden 11 and, surprisingly late to the party, Flower. So if you always wondered what the fuss was about, playing a petal on a gust of wind, you can now try it for free. (I'll give you a clue, it's as much an aural experience as a visual one, so make sure you can hear it clearly.)
And a PSP demo too - a new version of Worms to tickle any portable-annelid-combat lovers.

Bad news folks. Not only has this week's demo failed to appear on the store (so far... hopefully we'll see it by tomorrow), but I took the opportunity to review the list of demos and there are quite a few gone since the end of June when I last checked.
The casualties are as follows:
PS3:
Conan (541)
Darksiders (1378)
Dark Void (696)
Green Day Rock Band (238)
Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights (969)
Lost Planet 2 Co-op (492)
Lost Planet 2 MP (368)
MotoGP 09/10 (1787)
Red Faction: Guerilla (733)
Resident Evil 5 (942)
Split/Second: Velocity (752)
Stuntman: Ignition (835)
UFC Undisputed 2010 (970)
Up: The Video Game (1004)
WWE Legends of Wrestlemania (1003)
WWE SmackDown Vs Raw (976)
PSP:
Worms: Battle Islands (19)
Worms: Open Warfare 2 (7)
Now Worms: BI was only added to the store last week so I'm hoping that's a mistake that will get corrected, but the rest are probably gone for good. If you didn't get them on your download list, say goodbye. That leaves us with 175 PS3 and 49 PSP demos. Darn it, they've taken more away than they added in the last month, and that can't be good.
Note, as always, that some of these demos can only be found my searching for them - they don't appear in any of the menus in the store - this includes the likes of Top Spin 3 and Motorstorm, and, for some reason, quite a few of the 'Starter Packs' (the trial versions of Lemmings, Super Rub a Dub and Nucleus, for example) - perhaps they're doing away with the trial versions of these games.

... On the plus side, for those people who haven't checked the PS Blog recently, there's a competition to win an actual BMW, worth about £45k, if you play the Blur demo.
So, even if you've got the full game, download the demo, get to level 5, and, during the competition validity*, you'll automatically be entered into the prize draw. Apparently.
http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2010/08/03/win-a-12
* Competition runs from 17:00 BST on 4th August 2010 to 17:00 BST on 25th August 2010, for residents of the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Greece, Spain, Finland, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, aged 18 years or over. You'll have to be logged in to the Playstation Network when you achieve the required level in order for your entry to be submitted.
Oh, and if you win the car and you only found out about the competition because of this post, you have to split the car with me. ![]()

This week's store is just jam packed with videos from GamesCon 2010. But alongside all that visual overload, there are a couple of new PS3 demos to try. Both are huge downloads. Both are new versions of existing franchises, and though the earlier versions (NHL 10, HAWX) are still available in demo form, there's a strong possibility they'll be pulled from the store soon, so if you are keen to see those, now would be a good time to get them on your download list.
