Ooh, excitement! It's the demo for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit! That's first on my download list today... And there are another 3 demos beside that one for your PS3. They really do seem to be coming in larger volumes than they did when I first started maintaining this list.
Updated: 27th October 2010 (Total PS3: 204; PSP: 49)
PS3 demos and trial versions:
Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage (1351)
Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom (278)
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (1581)
Time Crisis: Razing Storm (928)

Well, we've been spoiled yet again this week - a huge update with loads of demos and trial versions to sink your bicuspids into, including the long, long awaited Castle Crashers and even a PSP demo, taking the total back up to 50! Huzzah!
Updated: 3rd November 2010 (Total PS3: 210; PSP: 50)
PS3 demos and trial versions:
Apache: Air Assault (1348)
Blacklight: Tango Down (672)
Castle Crashers (155)
John Daly's ProStroke Golf (882)
Rock Band 3 (690)
Vanquish (Challenge Mode) (377)
PSP demos
Split/Second Velocity (134)
John Daly's is Move-compatible, whereas you'll need Rock Band-compatible controllers to use the Rock Band demo. I believe it includes support for the new Pro controllers.

10th November 2010 - there are no demos this week.
We've been spoiled in recent weeks, so I'm not bitter. In fact, it's nice to have an easy update for a change. ![]()

Hmm. I'm feeling less spoiled this week. There are, yet again, no new demos.
In fact, we're down two demos, because both
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
Need for Speed ProStreet
have been removed from the store. ![]()
Why on earth was Hot Pursuit so time limited? (IF you've already downloaded it, you can still play it by changing your PS3's date setting.) I mean, this is a game that's probably going to stick around in the top-twenties for several weeks and will still be prominent on the shop shelves over Christmas... But if you get a PS3 for Chrimbo, you'll not be able to try this cracking racer before you buy... Where's the logic, EA? Seriously?
Updated: 17th November 2010 (Total PS3: 208; PSP: 50)
Nothing to see here, move along.

Finally, we're back into demo territory this week with three demos and trials for the PS3 and two for the PSP. The PS3 sees the release of a trial and unlock version of Pac-Man CE DX, which I know some people have been waiting for... And the PSP sees the return (finally!) of the Worms: Battle Islands demo.
Updated: 24th November 2010 (Total PS3: 211; PSP: 52)
PS3 demos and trial versions:
Funky Lab Rat (152)
Pac-Man Championship Edition DX (248)
Premier Manager (158)
PSP demos
Legends of War: Patton's Campaign (78)
Worms: Battle Islands (19)

Wonderful job! Just the list I was looking for.
But I tried to find the Mini Ninjas-demo for my son, and all I found when I searched for the keywords in Playstation Store was videos. Is there actually a playable demo - and how exactly can I find it?

Thanks - always nice to know that my efforts aren't going to waste.
I don't have any special access to the store, I just browse through it like every other ordinary consumer. And although new demos are usually announced in the weekly store update, it's much harder to keep track when demos are quietly removed from the store. I sweep the store for removals every other month, but it takes a few hours to do it thoroughly, so I hope folks understand why I don't do it every week.
Sadly, Mini Ninjas has indeed been removed. Thanks for letting me know and sorry you had to find out the hard way. ![]()

Of course I understand. Thanks again for your effort. ![]()

Two new demos today... For the PS3, a demo of a CSI game; for the PSP, the third in the 'Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman!' series...
Updated: 1st December 2010 (Total PS3: 186; PSP: 50)
PS3 demos and trial versions:
CSI: Fatal Conspiracy (312)
PSP demos
No Heroes Allowed! (30)
...
Thanks to De_hviiie's discovery that the Mini Ninjas demo has been removed from the store, I thought it was time to sweep through it once again (it's been about 6 weeks...) and uncover all the other removals.
I'm dismayed to find that there have been a lot of removals. Fingers crossed SCEE is clearing out the attic in preparation for a load more new toys at Christmas... ![]()
Anyway. The removals are as follows:
PS3:
Army of TWO: The 40th Day
Battlefield Bad Company
Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood
Colin McRae: DiRT 2
Fuel
GRAW 2 (Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2)
Haze
Kane and Lynch
Katamari Forever
Mini Ninjas
Namco Museum Essentials
Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Overlord II
Pro Evolution Soccer 2009
Pro Evolution Soccer 2010
The Punisher: No Mercy
Quantum Theory
Race Driver GRID
Soulcalibur IV
Tom Clancy's EndWar
Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X.
PSP
Army of TWO: the 40th Day
Imagine Champion Rider
Naruto Shippuden: UNH3
Sorry if you missed out on any of these and wanted to try them. As always, my advice is to start downloading them as soon as possible. Even if you just start the download (or add them to your cart and 'buy' it) they'll almost always stay in your downloads list indefinitely.

T'ch, I was hoping the 100th item in this thread would be a good time for a truly great demo to appear, but - unless I'm very much mistaken - there's just the usual fare today. A trial version of Alien Breed 2 and two demos, all for the PS3. I have no idea yet what the difference is betwen the original Zen Pinball demo and the new one appearing today, but for now both demos are on the store, so if you're up for some pinball wizardry, you could do worse than to check them both out.
Updated: 8th December 2010 (Total PS3: 189; PSP: 50)
PS3 demos and trial versions:
Alien Breed 2: Assault (1367)
Saw 2: Flesh and Blood (744)
Zen Pinball (2nd demo) (227)
